Study Design

This open-label single-arm exploratory trial explored the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) — a standardized yoga regimen introduced by the Government of India. The study examined its impact on sedentary adult women over three months, focusing on the angiogenic response and psychological well-being induced by regular yoga practice.

  • Participants: 25 healthy women, aged 25-55, with no comorbidities and self-reported sedentary lifestyle were enrolled. The final analysis was performed on 17 participants who completed the study.

  • Assessments: The participants underwent anthropometric measurements, biochemical assessments for lipid profiles, and CD34+ cell enumeration by flow cytometry at baseline, one month, and three months. Additionally, neuropsychological assessments were conducted to gauge mental health and cognitive function.
